Topic: Syncronize Multiface1 to Lynx Aurora via ADAT Lightpipe

Hi guys,
-------
I've just ordered a Lynx Aurora8 with its LT-ADAT Expansion (Standalone converters+ADAT I/O) as extension to my old Multiface1.

I want to connect and sync my Multiface via ADAT to the clock of the Aurora, even if my Multiface is the one connected to my PC via HDSP-PCI...

Is it possible to use the clock of the stanalone Aurora via ADAT this way?

Because the Multiface is the data entrance over its HDSP card (but now follows external clock). What about MIDI of the Multiface? Will it still be in sync with the audio (now of both interfaces)?

- it would mean that the Multiface follows the Aurora via ADAT sync
- is MIDI synchronized to the clock of the Multiface?
- will MIDI still be synchronized to the constantly adjusting clock from the Multiface when it follows the external ADAT clock?

You probably say: Why don't you use the clock of the multiface? Well... I've heard, the clock of the Aurora is the better source compared to the one of my old Multiface. I still love my Multiface for a lot of reasons, but I'm not satisfied with its A/D converters. Therefore the Auroa...

I hope you can help!?

Thanks

You can certainly sync the MF to he Aurora's incoming ADAT clock.
MIDI syncronization is not related to clock settings.
