Topic: HDSP 9632 or Babyface?

Hello,
I've been trying to decide between the HDSP 9632 and the Babyface for a few days now and can't make up my mind, hopefully someone on here might be able to help me with a few questions I have:

1. I produce electronic music so I'm working entirely in-the-box at the moment, however in the future I might buy some hardware synths so will I need pre-amps or will the inputs in HDSP 9632 suffice?

2. Do these cards use the same AD/DA chips and analog circuits? Is there a sound quality difference between them?

3. I've heard the Babyface cannot power high impedance headphones, can the HDSP 9632?

If anyone has used both of these chips, which do you prefer?

Re: HDSP 9632 or Babyface?

1. Hardware synths provide line level signals, no preamps required.
2. No and no. No difference in "sound quality" by design.
3. Impendance isn't everything, sensitivity also matters, as does the music material itself (dynamic range).

Re: HDSP 9632 or Babyface?

So again you deleted my post because i was blasting my 9632 card SQ, jitter and electrical noise suppression...

Your the one who said it's as good as your new babyface card not me.

You might have the best drivers but once any other company finally catch up to you on your products will be way to overpriced for their SQ.

But i guess you will delete this too.. so lame smile
