Topic: Connecting ff ufx and ff 400

Hello!
Im ff400 happy user, lacking of inputs..:)
I was planning to buy a/d converter to get more inputs.
But recently i saw UFX and its awesome.....with total mix fx
I was wondering if I could set UFX as main interface and connect to it my ff400 as a/d converter
to get more line inputs? I use ableton and macpro.
Second solution is buying ff800 , and connecting to it ff400 and presonus digimax fs, both as a/d converters.
What do You think?

Yes, this is possible. The Fireface 400 can work as stand alone ADAT converter. Adding 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs to the UFX (with up to 48 kHz).

Thank You for Your reply..
Is there much difference between connecting UFX to macpro USB vs Firewire?
Firewire is better for me, because I have a lot USB gear, and macpro has only 2 USB.
I,m using powered hub, but i dont know if I can plug UFX through something like that?
I need to take a decision between buying UFX or FF800 + ADAT converter..............its tough.
