I just bought a new computer and have been using the same RME fireface 800 for the past four years with no problem.
The computer is an Intel i7 with a windows 7 professional 64 bit operating system(service pack 1).
When I am starting cubase and using the FIREFACE ASIO, I see in the windows task manager window that one of my processors jumps all the way up. When I am changing to the WINDOWS ASIO, the task manager looks fine.
I must add that all of this happens even before I am opening a cubase project to work on. I installed all the current drivers.

Please help me solve this issue.
