Topic: Connecting iMac digital Output to SPDIF In (ADAT2) from Fireface UFX

Hi everybody
I have connected the digital outputs from my imac (mid 2007) to the Fireface UFX ADAT2 Input with an optical cable, but it is not working (no sound. for example from the radioplayer I turned on or from iTunes). I have choosen digital-outputs in the systempreferences but there is no incoming signal in the total mix HeadScratch. So whats wrong here?

Did you change the AES Input to ADAT2, in the Fireface setting menus?

If you want to use the ADAT 2 input as AES/SPDIF input you have to switch it ADAT 2. Manual page 17 (AES input).
