Topic: 9632 analogue out oscillation

Hi there,

I would appreciate it if someone could take a look at the following oscilloscope waveforms directly from the my RME soundcards output. There appears to be a major problem somewhere as what appears to be oscillation is present. The onboard audio looks much better than the RME. I am using an RME 9632 with AO4S expansion and both have the problem which worsens in the AO4S card (see the zoomed photos). The problem also worsens as the frequency increases up towards 20Khz but is clearly visible from 10Khz upwards.

Regards,

Anyone??

Re: 9632 analogue out oscillation

I know there are plenty of mod's and admins who browse the forum, this has been here a long time now so I would have thought someone could offer some sort of assistance by now...??

Re: 9632 analogue out oscillation

If you assume the card is not operating within spec, please contact the retailer and send it in for a checkup at the factory.

Re: 9632 analogue out oscillation

And now move the magnet away from the card fryingpan

Re: 9632 analogue out oscillation

Magnet? I can assure you there was no magnet anywhere near it. If possible I'd like to have a go fixing the card myself as I'm an elec eng student but I don't know which opamps do what on the card.
