Topic: FF400 + ART TUBE OPTO8 do I need to use clock?

Hi all!

I consider buying  ART TUBE OPTO8 http://www.artproaudio.com/products.asp … amp;id=156 to use with FF400 to increase the number of channels I can record simultaneously. I plan to connect it via ADAT. Do I need to synchronize these 2 devices, or they will worck fine without it. Which problems can also happen to this configuration?

Obviously there will have to be some kind of sync. Either sync the FF to the ADAT inputs or connect Word Clock from the FF to the ART, then the FF can be master.

I see no obvious problems with this configuration.
