Topic: UFX - Phantom Power into Output - Damage?

If using the UFX in a live situation, where the outputs (either Analog 1/2 XLR, or 3-8 TRS) are fed into a live venue's console, where the house either inadvertently applys 48V phantom power (against your request), or they simply can't turn it off for a single channel, will the +48V phantom power damage the outputs of the UFX?

Re: UFX - Phantom Power into Output - Damage?

Prolonged exposition to 48V will not do the unit any good... It would be advisable to avoid it.

Re: UFX - Phantom Power into Output - Damage?

Isn't +48V relevant only for console's mic inputs? In case you connect UFX line outs into live venue's console line inputs, I guess phantom on/off is irrelevant, right?

Definitely... obviously I'd try to avoid it if possible... I'm just asking the question as sometimes communicating with live sound guys can be tough, especially when you're changing their standard workflow... So it's really a matter of what would happen if, apart from my best efforts, the outputs still saw 48V...?
