Topic: TotalMIx FX Request: Control Room support for 5.1 and Bass Management

I just upgraded the Fireface800 I've had for several years to a UFX, and I love this thing. TotalMix FX is wonderful.

The Control Room section in TotalMix FX is great, but currently, it only really caters to stereo mixing. It would be nice to be able to setup a multichannel Main in order to avoid having the front L/R speakers on the far right under "Main" and the Center, LFE, and Rear L/R speakers on the far left.

It would also be great to use the DSPs in the UFX or UC to handle Bass Management, so that we don't have to rely on each and every software package supporting it. As an example... Sonar provides bass management, but Vegas does not. So playing back an exported 5.1 mix from Sonar in Vegas sounds very different than playing it back in Sonar. Having Bass Management handled at the audio interface would solve a lot of issues for those of us doing surround mixing.

A good example of this being handled by a similar interface would be the TC Konnekt 48. Take a look here and click on "StudioKonnekt 48 Bass Management - Screenshot" about halfway down:

Very cool! This would be nice to see. I rarely do surround mixes but it'd be quite handy.

This topic shows up over and over again. Is that hard to add a synchronised crossover for 5.1, 7.1 outputs? High pass filter is in place, just add the low pass and everybody will be happy!

We also want this here at Wabi Sabi....In the meantime, is there a way to have the control room and the remote attenuate 6 outputs at once?

Ok...just figured out how to do the multi channel level control.  Group 1-6 outputs and reassign Control Room to AN1/2.  The remote now turns all 6 channels up down. Since I'm using full range mains, I'm able to live w/o bm.
