Topic: iMac 2007 and FF400

Hello,
I`m new to this forum and I just like to ask, if there´s still a problem with an iMac 2007 7,1 and a FF400.
I am going to buy a new FF400 and the Console shows Revision ID 050000 with Firewire Chip.
Is it fixed by a new driver and can I work with it?
Thanks for your support,
Uli

Re: iMac 2007 and FF400

Since this is not a driver issue, a new driver can not fix it. The Lindy FW Repeater cable will work.

This is the cable: http://www.lindy-usa.com/45m-firewire-a … 32908.html.

When you search for Lindy in this forum you will get more comments about it.

Re: iMac 2007 and FF400

Thanks Knut for advice but I switch to the Fireface UC since this Lindy cable could probably not solve the problem with the FW-Chip inside the iMac.
I think the UC is a good alternative, isnt it?
