Topic: Sending AES signal to spdif input

I am sending AES signal to the spdif input on FFUC, I wonder any chance the electrical level of AES signal (2V) could overload the spdif input on FFUC?

My second question is whether the “consumer/professional” setting on config screen has any meaning on the spdif input port in terms of protocol and electrical wise?

Last question, what is the input and output impedance on those spdif input/output ports?

Tks!

Re: Sending AES signal to spdif input

1. No way.
2. No.
3. In 75 Ohms, out 100 Ohms. Works with both AES and SPDIF.

Thanks Matthias!  Regarding digital output impedance, why 100ohms, instead of more common 110ohms or 75ohms?

Re: Sending AES signal to spdif input

As we can not change the impedance the value is wrong for one no matter what we choose. But that is theory anyway, in real world it doesn't matter, it will just work.
