Topic: Product request.Usb3 converter for Digiface proprietary FireWire

So five years later my Digiface is performing perfectly, but laptop connections have moved on.
The RME proprietary FireWire connection first went into a Cardbus, then an Expresscard.
New laptops now use neither. Could RME produce a USB3 converter that accepted the Digiface FireWire cable. I believe this proprietaryFireWire is also used in other hdsp products so should have a broad usefulness, and it seems RME are already working with usb3 by making new Babyface usb3 ready.

Looking forward to a new laptop purchase within the next year, could I hope for such a product to allow my Digiface investment to continue performing into the next few years?

Re: Product request.Usb3 converter for Digiface proprietary FireWire

I doubt such a device is technically feasible.

Also, laptops with Expresscard slots are still available. ALso, the Babyface ist just plain USB 2, but USB 3 is downward compatible.
