Topic: correct connection for 2 ff800

Hi, could someone please confim if i have my 2 ff800 connected correctly?

I am using the adat in out connection from one to the other, and both are firewire to the 2 texas ins fw ports on my win 7.
Is this correct or should only the first unit connect to the comp and the second unit to the first via fw or just adat?  (I tried with just the first connected to the comp and the second to the first via just adat, but cubase cant see the second unit)

Also are the units 'in sync' acting as the clock for one to the other?

I have been have some frustrating fun and games getting the routing right with the matrix, but I thought I will ask if the hardware connections were right first.

If it is less complicated ( I only really need 16 i/o analogue)  Would using the master slave and word clock cable be a better way?

The 2nd works like an ADAT converter. If you use it this way stand alone (8-Channel converter) it don't need a FireWire connection.
