Topic: Multiface route input to output: one round of ADDA?

Hi

Just bought a HDSP card and hoping to pick up a Multiface I soon. Can you remember how excited you were when you got your first decent piece of gear? Well that's me smile

My question is about the signal path for a send and return using an external FX unit with only analogue I/O.

I'd like to record an analogue input clean and also pass the signal to a couple of Multiface outputs, to the FX unit, then back in to a couple of Multiface inputs. This lets me  record the wet signal to its own track(s).

So: can Totalmix patch an analogue IN straight to an analogue OUT or does it have to pass through the ADDA converters on its way to an output?

Signal will always pass through AD/DA.
