Topic: Bug Store/Read Flash

hi there is a bug in the fireface800 driver.
i setup 256 samples and store in flash.
i exit the driver panel.
i open the panel and select 1024.
exit the panel.
i enter the panel, find 1024, and select read flash.
this sets the 256, i had stored to flash..
i exit with ok.
i enter the panel and find 1024 selected.
that means,
reading the flash and changing sample rate by this, does not work here.
only manually changing the rate has an effect.
strange though ...

Re: Bug Store/Read Flash

Really sample rate? Or buffer size as described in your text?

Re: Bug Store/Read Flash

i mean buffer size.

this bug is reproducable.

this is weird,
cause the user just reading flash and exit with ok don't know that the wrong buffersize is active though.

with sample rate another problem.

i setup 44.1 and store in flash.

when i select after exit, enter 48 instead manually and click on read flash it shows shortly 44.1 and then 48.

this is also broken.

Re: Bug Store/Read Flash

i installed the driver again.

indeed there is a "read flash" bug.
the sample rate is not read and set, you see it a short time, but it keeps the old value.
that means that sample rate can be only set manually.

if buffersize is read, you see it after "read flash",
but if you exit the panel with OK and return,
you also see the old value before.
that means, also the buffersize must be set manually.

strange issue,
we always trusted this option before.

Re: Bug Store/Read Flash

the problem does not occur with driver 3.o34

Re: Bug Store/Read Flash

the problem also occurs in driver 3.0.46

resume:

3.034 works bug free

buggy are 3.046 and 3.047
reproducable.

No. Please don't expect a fix in a few days. This bug will be fixed in one of the upcoming driver releases, but not immediately.
