Topic: Problems with sound mixer in Win 7 (RME 9632)

Hi!
I'm proud owner of a HDSP 9632 sound card.
Before 9632 I used an internal sound card ALC892 -Channel High Definition Audio CODEC for playback.
Everything works fine with 2 sound cards except volume control.
The mute button doesn't make any affect.
In Windows volume mixer I see 2 sound levels (one is green colour another - grey)
When I press Mute Speakers button the sound plays! The green bar disappears. only grey are showed. If I press mute Winamp button - the sound disappears as it should be.
So, am I missing some special options in system? I just want to fix this. I'm attaching screen shots to demonstrate this problem:

The 9632 is checked as default device in Windows 7 ultimate

RME gear is not controllable from windows. The speaker mute button tries to mute the card and that doesn´t work. There is a mute button in the rme hammerfall dsp mixer.

So you'd say that there is no solution to control volume as is was with internal card? Only via dsp mixer?

Indeed, it is like that with all professional audio cards.
It is like this to prevent software or windows to interfere when you work with pro software (with asio drivers, like cubase or protools). Plus that the windows audio mixer affects audio quality (although very little, but not what you want with a pro card and it is out of your control).
