I have realised that I am having a problem no one could help me so far.

The problem is with rare DROP OUTS with audio.
Fireface UC  vs. Lenovo ThinkPad x201i.

I am disappointed about NO reaction from RME company!!!

Notebook I have bought had all the needed features and even that fact  it isn´t working.

On my dealer´s recommendation / who sold me the FIREFACE / I must sell my notebook and I must buy a new one.

I would like at least to have some reaction from RME what notebook I should buy which will work for 100% for the things I need to work with.

All needed information about conditions I work in is shown below in my older status.

Anybody who could help me to find where the problem happened or how to find it is more than welcome to contact me.

I am looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Probably two months ago I wrote on this forum that time I was solving occasional failures of audio / as when cd leaps /.
Thanks to TIMUR – Smux specialist- , who advised me software DPC Latency Checker /Thesycon GmbH/, I was able to move forward. I had a bright new laptop Lenovo X201i though, in which only Cubase 6 was instaled, even though I had to format HD and get rid of not necessary things Lenovo had installed there. Today I really have there only Windows 7 Professional -32 bit, Cubase 6 and drivers. The problem with over leaping CD was solved but a new one has appeared. It is also occasional but in live applications impermissible.
It expresses as this: I press button Play at Cubase 6.

Cursor runs,  timecode runs, but audio doesn´t play. Audio character activity advice doesn´t show anything. In Cubase it looks as everything works BUT IT DOESN´T PLAY.
When I use software DPC Latency checker in normal condition, when everything is on and everything works, it shows rates around 210 µs.
When I use DPC Latency checker, when Cubase6 is on, but  Fireface UC is off, rate is around 70 µs.
The rates measured with DPC Lat.checker during breakdown / when audio doesn´t play, but everything is on and it should work /, are also around 70 µs.
So it looks like as if during the breakdown driver UC didn´t work or fell over. If this happens I must restart laptop. It happened several times while the song was playing not when I started the song but during playing the song, but Timecode in Cubase was running, cursor was running, but Audio stopped playing.
And maybe some more features which could help:
If I take USB cable out /Fireface UC/ during  the operation from laptopu, Cubase6 switches project into FS 32 KHz and then Blue screen shows.
Lately /approximately 2 weeks/ I have been using older driver 0.964 – supplied on CD, compared to before used 0.984.
It is because I am still looking for solution of the problem.  Interesting is the fact that with older driver the Fireface UC  heats less, and DPC Latency checker shows rates around 210 µs. When I had the latest driver 0.984, those rates were around 320 µs.
And yet as I work. Laptop with Fireface is in the operation 6 days a week, 4-5 hours daily.
I play 6 songs /apr.25 minutes of audio/, then 12 minutes break comes, again 6 songs and break again, and so on. Altogether 4-5 hours. The breakdown happened /10 from 12 cases/, when I played second song after break. It happens approximately twice a week. I am using the latest Bios, the latest drivers: gor graph. card, motherboard.

Hello. I am looking for HELP. I have a problem with occasional audio drop out , approximately every three or four hours. Due to fact that I am working with alive applications it is not allowed. How to install   Windows7, Bios?
Where can problem be?
I have a PC=laptop Lenovo ThinkPad  X201i   type 3323-1YG, Widows7  32bit,  processor Intel Core i3   390M,  disk SSD (flash) OCZ Agility 3,  60Giga. Software Cubase6  32bit.
RAM 4 Giga.
Two microphones are connected into Fireface UC through  Mic. IN 1 XLR and Mic. IN 2 XLR.   Fireface UC is connected into optic cable (via ADAT) + midi cable with  mix Yamaha 01V96 VCM. I use Cubase6 only as player audio+midi = only 1 stereo audio track Fs 44.1, 16 bits + only 1 midi track (only controllers for mix at the beginning and end of files).I don´t use Cubase6 with VST instruments., Efx etc. I use in Cubase only one project which has 16 Giga, and it is approximatelly 20 hours long and has approximatelly 250 songs, which I play by random.
Buffer size = 1024. Latency it is not necessary.
Cubase6 is installed only in  custom configuration without Halion, VST, etc. There isn´t any other software installed in laptop (Office, etc.). Only software, which has come with laptop from lenovo. ( Maybe this has to go away too?)
I tried to turn off hyper-threading.No results.
I do not know where to find the errors.
I don´t want to have Internet, printer, scanner, webcamera etc connected to laptop. It should be only  audio+ midi laptop Player
Windows + Cubase are originals. Not crack.
