Topic: Safe long run recording

Hello,

W7- FFUC
Laptop adressing eSATA external HD through express card

I am preparing for an event recording, with a set of 8 channels / 96kHz comprising 4 channels Bformat, binaural and two exta mics for further mix
DC recorder is used for foreground recording in one shot, meaning that extralarge files would result, hence exceeding 4Go per track
I presume that DC will automatically split every tracks on the fly with running numbers, right ?

Any other risk to cover here ?

Re: Safe long run recording

Finally I went through a comfortable and safe workflow to secure the session
Started multiple successive DC recorders (one running at a time), stopping the pending one after the next start to get a minimal data overlap at the due time according to the concert events cool
Then leaved them asis, and the day after recalled and saved at a glance without worrying about the transfer bandwidth limits that I had in a recent past
(I was storing the previous live tracks whilst the next recorder ran, causing crual cuts in the audio being captured as long as the storing was not completed ed:)
