Topic: FF400 installation problem

Hello,
New member and FF400 owner looking for advice.
Trying to install: Fireface_262a_ppc onto PowerPC G5 with OS 10.5.8
Error Message: "Install Failed. The installer could not install some files in "/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/".
Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

Open Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and run a "Repair Disk Permissions" on the Macintosh HD.

Thank you for your reply Jeff.
Took your suggested steps, and rebooted, still receiving same error message.
(Additionally, Host Light is off, but Mac Firewire bus is showing "unknown device")

are PPC's more buggy than Intel Macs?
