Topic: Update: New HDSPe series Mac OS X driver 3.01

Update 11/25/2011

Driver 3.0 included the same channel name problem as the FireWire and USB driver. Therefore here the same update now for the HDSPe series with correct channel names again.

Hello,

the new Mac OS X driver 3.00 has got the same performance optimizations for Lion (10.7) as the USB and FireWire driver before. Nothing else changed. Because this driver covers so many devices and modes, we are not 100% sure the changes did not break something. We tested all cards and extensions in all modes (even the RPM), but before fully releasing it we would be glad about some feedback in this forum first.

Thanks a lot!

HDSPe MADI on MacPro seems to work fine so far. :-)
MADI Face on MacBook Pro works only when quitting coreaudiod.
Then the HDSP settings stays loaded in the dock even after ejecting MadiFace and shows 32000 HZ sample rate.
Sample rate switching seems to work normal on both machines.

Checked the driver with a friends unibody mbp and Lion and everything worked fine.
Maybe the reason why I cannot use the driver on my mbp with Lion is, because I can not boot in 64 bit mode?
Anyway, no problem. The driver with SnowLeopard works fine.

Re: Update: New HDSPe series Mac OS X driver 3.01

Found a workaround for using the MADI Face on my MBP with Lion.
Deleting or moving the "de.rme-audio.hdspAgent.plist" file out of the Library/LaunchAgents folder, lets me use the card.
I only have to start "HDSPe settings" or "HDSPe mixer" manually if I need them.
I still wonder why the launch agent does not work properly on my machine.
Could it be that using a SSD is the problem?
Because I tried booting a Lion system from my mac pro on the MacBook Pro and the launch agent worked normal.
Very strange
