Topic: FIREFACE 26a SOFTWARE INSTALLATION ON MAC PPC

Hello,
New member and FF400 owner looking for advice.
Trying to install: Fireface_262a_ppc onto PowerPC G5 with OS 10.5.8
Error Message: "Install Failed. The installer could not install some files in "/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/".
Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

I have opened Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and run a "Repair Disk Permissions" on the Macintosh HD to no avail.
(Additionally, Host Light is off, but Mac Firewire bus is showing "unknown device")

Please assist.

We have never tested PPC computers with 10.5.8. That driver had been tested with 10.4.8 and 10.5, as noted. Higher OS versions might not work as expected.

In a bit of a pickle i guess.
Any sign of testing 10.5.8 in the near future?
