Topic: New Workstation, new PCI (Express) Card

I want to buy a new DAW
Link

I have a Multiface with PCI Card. Bought them about 2001.

Digital AudionetworX told me that the PCI Card REV1 do not work with
the actual chipset of the new DAW.

How can i figure out what rev i have?

Thanks, Thomas

Re: New Workstation, new PCI (Express) Card

Hi Thomas,
I assume they mean that the P67 chip set they use has compatibility issues with PCI devices.
If so then the best thing to to do is buy the HDSPs card for your Multiface.

If they mean that you HDSP PCI card is very old and is not dected properly at boot then they mean this.

Thanks Chris

Re: New Workstation, new PCI (Express) Card

They mean that the chipset of the Intel Z68X do not work with rev 1.0.
So i have to open my actual DAW to look the rev.

Is there any performance advancement with the pci-e card to the old pci?
