Topic: HDSP(e) MADI card, subframe A and B inverted

Hi,

I own a HSDP(e) MADI card. The other day, I was looking at how MADI is generated and I have come across a discrepancy between the AES10 specification and what I think is generated by the HDSP(e) MADI output. As far as I understand it, the AES10 document specifies that MADI 0 should always start with subframe A (bit 2 of the 32 bit word in a low state). I believe that your MADI card sends subframe B first. Could you please confirm/disprove the above?

Best regards,

Raphael

Re: HDSP(e) MADI card, subframe A and B inverted

As we never heard about this before there are two possible explanations:

1. It is indeed wrong but has no further effect because no other hardware cares about it.

2. It is correct and you made a mistake in measurement.

As of 1 please forgive us to not check this immediately but when we find the time. If true we would then apply a firmware update as fix.
