Topic: portable daw question

i have a ff800, thinking of getting an octamic for more awesome channels.

is there a portable daw that is compatible with what i have? i just need it for mixing on protools or logic (whatever the job entails) so any suggestions?

do rme not do one with totalmix? if not, are mackie ones compatible with totalmix?

Are you talking about a MIDI control surface like Mackie Control?

yea, i have it now. cant get it working with totalmix. at all!

is it better to midi in/out of my ff800 with the mcu pro or usb it? is this why i cant get control over totalmix?
