Topic: Channel labels in Logic messed up after updating drivers?

Hi

I am having problems with the channel input/output labels in Logic after updating to driver 1.62. E.g. Channel 1 - "Input 1" now says "Analog 1-8", and most of the other labels say "Adat 9-16"?? Of course, I can rename them to what ever I want in Logic but it would be nice if the channels showed up correctly from the driver in the first place.  Any clues what went wrong?

Regards,

Rune

Here is an image of how the I/O labels now look

Yes. I have the same issue.
There is something fishy going on. Take a look at Audio MIDI setup too for some new stuff.

You are still running Snow Lepoard? I thought maybe it had something to do with Lion but thats only me guessing.

This certainly looks like a bug to me. RME Support, do you know anything about this?

Sorry for the inconvenience. This has been an oversight on our side while changing the internal structure for optimized Lion performance. A new driver that has the correct channel names again will be available today or tomorrow.

OK, thanks!
Its not a huge problem as I can always rename the channels to whatever I want, but its a lot easier with the names right in the first place.

Someone dares to try it?

I must say that I am impressed by how fast you fixed this! :-) I have tested this driver a few hours now and I can't find anything wrong with it. Great job!
PS: Please, let us know if this version does not make it to release.

Thank you!

Re: Channel labels in Logic messed up after updating drivers?

I just bought ufx and use it by firewire cable with my mac pro 10.6.8.
I installed 301 x86 driver, 1.62 usb driver, and 2.61 usb flash update.
After that, i updated firmware on flash update program.
But i have same problem (input1 1-8)
So i installed that usb driver 163.  But same!!

Whats wrong to me....
Maybe thats not a firewire driver?

This is the USB version of the driver.

Here's the firewire one:
