Topic: Babyface strange input Volume

Hi

Extension cable is not connected and the levels at AN1/2 channel
are at -70 db. Gain and EQ are also OFF.
Why?

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

Check cords for connections, but sometimes I pick up more noise than at other times. I guess there is electromagnetic interference and better cords that are more shielded may help that out, although I use balanced connections.

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

Mine never gets that bad though but can be in the '90's instead of the 108 level.

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

There is no cables and that's my problem. Is my unit faulty?

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

You mean 'breakout cable is not connected'? Peak Meter at 192 kHz gives that value. Check the current sample rate, then read the manual chapter 26.6.

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

Thank You.
Problem resolved at 48 kHz.
Chapter says -82 anyway at 192 kHz.
My level is 10 dB more.

Re: Babyface strange input Volume

And I wrote 'Peak'. Change the level meters to RMS.
