Topic: FF800 instalation and Win7 again...

Hi all!

Sorry for this new topic, but although I've tried to find solutions on the forum, I don't get why it's not working right now... I've followed the installation topic but I'm stuck on the 4th step : I've got the latest drivers from the RME website, but windows 7 doesn't seem to care and can't find any driver in the directory (all the files are unzipped, and I'm seeking the right place). I've tried plugin the FF800 through the in-built 1394, through a brand new Delock Express Card (F800), and all my cables are in good shape (they do work on my Mac Pro). I'm using a Dell XPS Studio 16 Laptop (recently formatted), and here is a summary of my configuration :

Computer
_ ACPI x64-based PC  (Mobile)
_ Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
_ DirectX 11.0
Motherboard

_ Texas Instruments TSB82AA2 1394B OHCI 1.1+ Compliant Link-Layer Controller (PHY: TI TSB81BA3)

Hope everything is clear. I'm waiting for your help! Thanks for reading and all the best!

Re: FF800 instalation and Win7 again...

Sorry, I've forgotten to specify that the FF800 appears in the Device Manager, but as "Other" (Number 000A35003458F0C8) and not directly in "Sound, video and game controllers" (as it should, according to serveral topics).

Try this one on your TI ports:

It might be that you installed the original Unibrain drivers for your Unibrain  FW port. These are not compatible to the FF 800.

Thank you so much, that's working! It's a shame I've not seen that on the forum, but maybe that would come in handy for other people. You rule, Topic solved!
