Topic: Babyface + Headphones = ? dB SPL

Hello! smile

Is there any mathematical formula to find out what is the maximum SPL that a pair of headphones can produce when connected to the Babyface?

- The Babyface headphone output has 30 Ohm I think (correct me if I am wrong).
- My headphones are 36 Ohm (at 1KHz) and have a sensitivity of 119 dB SPL/mW (at 1KHz).

If I play a 1KHz sine wave file at 0dB and Totalmix is set to unity gain (0dB) as well, then how many SPL am I going to get out of the headphones?

Thank you in advance for your help and I apologize for my ignorance of physics/electronics!

Re: Babyface + Headphones = ? dB SPL

By the way, I read in my Babyface's manual that the Maximum Output Level of the Headphone Output @ 0 dBFS is +7dBu but I read online that it is +8dBu. What is the correct figure? Has the Babyface changed specs, because I can see other figures that are different too comparing my manual to the specs online.

P.S. Could anybody help me with my original question? Thanks!
