Topic: Fireface UC - As a Live Miixer?

Hi All,

Please be patient, very new to this whole thing.  Here's my question:

Can the Fireface UC and/or the Fireface 400 be used as a Live Performance Mixer?

I want to run two (2) vocalists and backing tracks through the Mics (1 & 2) and the backing tracks via an iTouch through (3 & 4) and then be able to set the levels out for all of them.  I prefer to split the signal of the backing tracks to 2 mono channels as my experience has been it provides a better mix.

I'm trying to avoid having to buy a mixer and maximize my use of the RME interface both in and out of my very, very humble studio: really just starting out here.

I know the levels out for 1 & 2 can be set - but I need to know if the levels for 3 & 4 can be set for this situation.

I hope this is clear.

Thank you very much for your patience, experience, and help.

Yes, you can control the level of each of these 4 inputs separately. Ideally, this would be done with TotalMix running on an attached computer.
