Topic: Is that the normal behaviour for Fireface UFX in protools 9

When I load into Protools 9, it only shows 1 option for buffer size in my hardware playback window. I can change it directly from the Fireface USB driver window, but then protools loses sync and needs to be restarted?

Is that the normal behaviour for Fireface UFX in protools 9?

Re: Is that the normal behaviour for Fireface UFX in protools 9

When i start up pro toos 9 (and now 10) I hold down the "N" key and pro tools comes up at the "playback engine" window.  Then I select UFX with ID # and also buffer size, etc.

Depends on whether you use Mac or Windows. In Win, the RME control panel sets the buffer, in Mac PT does. PT typically does not handle the change gracefully for an open project (not an RME issue).
