Topic: Babyface -- analog calibration

Hello all,

I am setting up the babyface analog I/O using some balanced xlr to go out and back from some +4 gear and was having some issues with calibrating the levels. Finally I just did a loopback and realized it was in fact the Babyface unit itself which has the levels coming in about 3db hotter than going out. I have made sure the output level is set to 0 and the input coming back is set to 0 and yet it comes back about +3 higher. From what I can see I am not double bussing it out it looks correct in Total Mix. Whats the deal? How do I calibrate it to be the same level going out and returning. I want to be sure this is accurate before adding something into the chain. I cannot seem to find any other info about a calibration setting

Thanks!

You will find the exact values in the manual, and you can use Totalmix to adjust levels, if required.

Re: Babyface -- analog calibration

Isn't it somehow connected with Main Out gain, which is by default set to -3dB in TotalMix settings?
