Hi, I'm trying to fix a noise issue.  It comes from my motherboard when the driver is engaged, and intensifies when the buffer is lowered.

I've read that noise from firewire devices can be fixed by adapting the cord to a 4 pin and then back up, plus powering the unit externally.  I do not know if motherboard noise is related to ground loops

Have you heard about this being done for Firefaces?

Will it work for a Multiface II without impact on performance or sound quality?
