Hi,
Is it possible, with the optical ADAT of the babyface,
to route the signal to a motu traveler to get 8 individual outs?

The firewire port of the motu is not working anymore and I need 8 individual outs to go to 8 speakers. I thought I could take out 1 and 2 from the Babyface, and get channel 3 to 8 from the traveler.

I have the optical out of the RME going to the optical in of the traveler, and the way around. The traveler is in slave mode,
and the rme is in internal clock. The green light on the rme shows that they are in sync.

I have tried with AbletonLive to send sound on external 1 2, and 7 to 12. I can see the sound in TotalMix in the software playback and the hardware output on AN 1 2 and ADAT 3 to 8. 

But I can't figure how to get the sound out to the traveler.
