Topic: Pro Tools & FF800. Any issues to be aware of?

Going to install PT10 on my system* this weekend with the intention of using my FF800 instead of the MBox Mini that PT was bundled with. An Avid sales rep told me that they don't test 3rd party interfaces so with that in mind, are there any issues or caveats I should be aware of?

Regards,

Peter

There should be no problems, assuming FW is working correctly on the system.

Make sure you have the latest Fireface drivers and when you first start up, go into the I/O config and select default for the inputs, outputs and busses tabs so that it will detect and configure all of your gazintos and gazoutas and you should be good to go.  I use two of them and a UFX with PT 10 and everything is rock solid on both a desktop and mobile laptop with Win 7.  Good luck.  I think you will enjoy the quality too!!
