Topic: Fireface UFX Wont Turn On and lights are flashing

I booted up my Fireface UFX this morning and it just flickers on and off with all the lights flashing and a ticking sound..It won't turn on and wont stop the flickering.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Seems like a hardware issue, perhaps with the power supply. Please contact your reseller or local RME distributor for repair.

I unplugged everything and right before leaving to take it in for repair I plugged it in to a different outlet with nothing connected and it powered up. It still flickers a couple of times before powering up some times, some times it boots up fine. That doesn't sound normal, but it is no longer locking up and flickering repeatedly and the computer see's it with 0 errors.

Do you advise I still take it in for repair?

I would do so... It seems to be at least headed for failure...

Ok thank you, took it in yesterday and is off for repair. My distributer loaned me a unit while this one is off for repair. Thank you for your help and service! big_smile
