Hello!

Often I have problems with "hot" mics when recording live rock gigs. Especially the snare, bass drum and overheads may go over 0dB even with the least amount of amplification from the mic pre amp (+5dB or so).

Why can't it start with +0dB? Or, better still, -10dB? Or, even better still, -11dB?

That would be most helpful for loud live recordings.
