Topic: Signal routing using fireface 800 with Logic pro 9

Hi,

i'm a new owner of a fireface 800. I tried to record with logic pro and i'm able to do it.

The question i have is that i'm at the point where i have to record one vocal track that will be in the channel 7 (first XLR input on front) but want to record it in channel 15 on logic pro...

Can i route the signal with the fireface mixer or i have to do it via logic???

I tried a couple of thing in logic without success...

Thanks a lot for your advice guys!

Fred

Re: Signal routing using fireface 800 with Logic pro 9

Route the signal to output 15 and use Loopback. Output 15 replaces now the signal of input 15. Choose input channel 15 as source for your track in logic.
Pages 62/75 in the manual.

Or you can select the correct input (channel 7) in logic on the logic channel you want to record onto. You should get a dropdown menu when you click on the input in Logic.
