Topic: Raydat volume, mute delay issue

Hi, my name is Adrian, i'm from Argentina and i have my first RME audio card.

I have one problem, in the TOTALMIX and Nuendo 4 everything is working fine, except when i MUTE one channel, this stay muted; but when i UNMUTE that channel exist 1 sec delay to hear again the sound. This is not always.

Whit volume happens the same, when i down the volume to min and UP quickly, exist some delay between 0.5 and 1 sec to hear sound again.
This occurs most of the time in Totalmix and Nuendo 4.

I don't what use direct monitoring because i can´t hear the plugin proccesing if use then, but with direct monitoring the same thing happen.

My OS is Win 7 64bit, latest firmware and driver Rme Raydat.

Tested on Win XP sp3 32bit, another pc with other motherboard and the same problem with TOTALMIX and Nuendo 4.

The mute and unmute quickly, exist 1 or 0.5 sec delay to listen the audio (this is the same in Totalmix or Nuendo 4).

Could someone help me please?

What kind of external converter are you using?

Daniel, thanks for answer. I'm using behringer ADA8000, but the problem is not always, but the most part of time yes.

Sometimes is fast when mute and unmute, but for moments have an delay of 1 second.

I try the next; if one channel have audio routing to A1 for example, and other channel have audio routed to A1 too, when i mute the first channel and unmute quickly, this work fine and fast always, i don't know if this happen because i have other channel routed to the same output.

But if i route only one channel and MUTE and UNMUTE quickly, sometimes have a delay of 1 sec.

Is very extrange.
