Topic: Babyface + Presonus Firepod

Hi there,

I run Cubase on a PC and the RME Babyface is my main (and only) Audio Interface at the moment.
I use it to record the vocals and instruments.

A few days ago i got a Presonus Firepod from a friend, for free. It's an 8-channel preamp and ADDA converter, can also function as audio interface.

The Firepod has Spdif in and out.

I also have some compressors that i want to hook up. In my opinion i can do this in two ways.
1.
CUBASE -> BABYFACE SPDIF OUT -> PRESONUS SPDIF IN -> PRESONUS OUT -> COMPRESSOR
PRESONUS IN -> PRESONUS SPDIF OUT -> BABYFACE SPDIF IN -> CUBASE

2.
Use the Presonus a seperate audio interface. (i have little to no experience in running two audio interfaces at the same time)

What would you recommend?

Thanks

Please be more specific, I can't tell what you want to do from this post.
