Topic: Output assignment

I recently uploaded the latest driver, as I apparently was not up to date

All existing session  when opened the outputs is now all Analog 1/2 (or whatever it now says  Analog 1-8-1/2

anyway I use SPDIF 11/12 and pretty much always have

I have to manually change each of my outputs before I  can begin a session and hear through my monitors.  Also the inputs are changed, although this isn't as much an issue as older sessions have recorded tracks....

If I start a new session from my templates, everything is fine.

I'm running DP7.24 and all sessions were made in DP 7.

Is there a way to set the default output to SPDIF 11/12?

That would be a DP question. You can, however, set the routings in TotalMix so all playback channels are routed to SPDIF out.

according to DP, it recognizes what I/O's are active available, but has no preference/default


I'll try setting Total Mix playback to SPDIF . I have the Hearback system so I do not use TotalMix anymore.

folks in the studio can adjust their own dang mix!
