Topic: 5.1 monitoring

Hi
I use Nuendo as my main DAW and I just purchased a UCX, but I can't find a way to get the sound of the differents outputs to the speakers besides the outputs from 1 & 2 which are control by the TotalMix in a 5.1 setup.

Any sujestion?

Thanks

Re: 5.1 monitoring

Please tell us more about the planned routing setup. Which Nuendo outputs should go to which UCX outputs?

best regards
Knut

Re: 5.1 monitoring

I try 2 ways, through the studio monitor of nuendo assigning each channel output to an rme analog output and also via the direct output of nuendo.

L to 1, R to 2, C to 3, Lfe to 4, Ls to 5 and Rs to 6

I did on an session that was been monitor before with my old Motu interface and work fine.

Right now I only hear the output of L and R not the rest

Thanks

Click the output channels of the "rest" in TotalMix - one after another - and raise up the fader of the playback channel, which should be routed to the specific output. If the fader is all the way down no signal goes to this output.

Re: 5.1 monitoring

Hi

When I select the Hardware Outputs channel each of their respective Output Software fader is up and the signal shows on the meter, but still no output on 3/4 and 5/6

Re: 5.1 monitoring

Is there a way to bypass the TotalMix?

Thanks

You have clicked on output 3/4 or 5/6 and see a signal on the hardware outputs peakmeters but there is nothing on the connected cable?
Please post a screenshot of the routing matrix and/or a screenshot with selected output 3/4 (click) and a signal present on software output 3/4.

Is there a way to bypass the TotalMix?

No. TotalMix routes the multiple outputs of the software to any chosen hardware output.
