Topic: Finale 2012 with UFX/UCX

Hi,

Is anyone successfully using Finale 2012 with UFX or UCX?

I saw some posts where people were having compatibility issues between certain versions of Finale and Fireface. Just wondering if things have smoothed out.

I have been able to successfully use Finale with the output set to my RME FF800.  I have a UFX also, but I have not tried using it with Finale.  I am on Windows 7.  It took some effort to get it configured properly.  The key was to make sure that I had the proper Finale output configured.  This is done under MIDI/AUDIO --> Device Setup --> MIDI Setup --> Device = Smart Softsynth 1 in Finale.  When you get to this panel, there is a button at the bottom to set up Smart SoftSynth's output options and there you will find the various FF800 or FF UFX I/O options.

What exactly are you trying to do and what results are you having?

Thanks for the info. I'm still researching/saving $. I'm doing some upgrades laptop/soundcard/notation software. Good to hear you've had success w/ your setup
