Topic: Using external devices with a Fireface UCX

I wonder if someone could explain SIMPLY how I can connect an external device (e.g. a graphic eq) into the audio path (real time) of the UCX.  I tried putting the INPUT of the graphic into the #3 input on the front of the unit and the outp[ut of the graphic into #3 output on the back of the unit.  I assume I must do something via the matrix ?.  All this is rather new to me... Hope someone can help.   Tnx.

First of all, you need to route an output from the UCX to the EQ Input and the EQ Output to an input on the UCX. Then route your audio via Totalmix.

Do not connect input to input and output to output.
