I recently purchased a Babyface and have been in love with it so far. But today I noticed an unsettling phenomenon with the device when using the instrument input. It starts with random clicks every 30 seconds or so, and in a couple of minutes turns into a pattern (1 click, followed by 5 clicks). I am yet to notice this on the output stage so might be a problem with the input only (when instrument in is on). Here are two sound files that document the issue: First file is a recording of a bass guitar, not being played but simply connected to the input. Second file is an instrument cable connected to the babyface with no instrument at the other end (just to make sure the problem does not originate from the guitar). All recordings were made with the instrument in option on at 30 dB gain (AN2). I have tried changing USB ports, turning the babyface and/or the computer on and off but nevertheless I can recreate the issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am using the Babyface with a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro (4GB RAM), running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) with the latest stable Babyface firmware and driver.
