hey rme people,
im stuck, I cant update from some reason, I tried updating the soft about 10 times plugged/unplugged/with the Total-mix open & close and all in between... it just won't do it
FF400, White Mac book, OS 10.6.8,
from 2.75 to 3.06
***firmware is 1.7 ( as required
didnt find any about in the previous pages

Hey Jeff, I'll try my best,
I got a used ff400 lately, all cool its working all fine, no issues or anything...
I always keep the drivers up to date though, and it came with a old driver(dont remember number) but older than 2.75 and firm was 1.69.
updated the firmware
i tried to update to 3.06 but with no much success,
tried to up for 2.75 success it works
but i cant update to the latest version 3.06 from some reason, and the firmware is ok.. as required
have no clue what to do..
If any more info required let me know...

OK, now explain what "not much success" means here, what happens?? If you can't give an error report, nobody can solve the problem.
no error at all ,all looks fine, but when the mixer pops out I hit about and i see the old numbers 2.75 instead of 3.06
the install behaves all right, nothing strange, no error
it just doesn't do anything.
that is my problem.

I just deleted the RME content from my mac book,
installed again(3.06) and now i cant find it, it dose not pop out as before and I cant find the mixer & setings
I think that means that it dose not instal correctly, some thing is wrong but I dont know why and what... (I dont get any errors
host led is not lit (it knows that its connected ..
after deleting everything (all rme) content some of the stuff that needs to be instaled/located is missing
actually most of it
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Fireface Folder ----is missing
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.rme.FirefaceMixer.plist---- is missing
/Applications/Fireface Mixer ----missing
/Applications/Fireface Settings----missing
& the rest of it...
another interesting fact is when I install 2.75 (size about 2Mb it takes my mac about 2 min (& it behaves like its really installing something
when with 3.06 (size about 6 Mb its done after 5 sec... /:

Look at the top of the Settings app for the installed driver version. The Mixer version number does not necessarily relate to the driver version number.

about fireface mixer---->2.75
about fireface setings ---->2.75
karnel driver ---->2.75
unit driver ---->1.7
its the only driver that reacts to my OS, 2.90 is acting the same like 3.06 installs itself in a second, reboots the machine and nothing really changes

can it be because I have about 5 audio drivers installed on the machine ??pre sonuse motu m-audio and others
