Topic: 6 year old FF800. Will new FFUFX have better quality/converters?

I am using a stable FF800 for 6 years. It sounds good. Is the converter technology in the new FF800s or UFX a considerable improvement?
Is it a genuine upgrade? I want to stay with RME and totalmix if possible but feel for an upgrade in converter technology would really help me.

There is no new FF800 wih different converters. However, the converters in the UFX are certainly of a newer generation and hence different and clearly better in terms of technical specs, including conversion latency.
Whether or not you will perceive a major difference in terms of sound quality remains entirely subjective, though....

Thank you. I want to move to Win 7 64 bit machine. Can I just update the drivers and use my 6 year old FireFace? It is on XP now. Thank you!
