Topic: Using FF800 for Live Sound Practice Sessions
I am running logic pro 9 macbook intel i7 pro 4gb ram.
I have used the ff800 only for monitoring and recording.
I have a basic peavey integrated mono mixer/amp and am wanting to improve the live sound. I have no outboard effects like compression.
Can I run all mics through the ff800 and use software monitoring in logic to add effects, then go out the FF800 using a pair of the analog outs and into to mixer?
And record a live jam session (not for production quality) with the mic'd instruments plus a couple of room mics?
What latency will this involve? Will the effects sound okay or is it better to get outboard hardware gear?
The effects most likely I would use are reverb, compression, and eq.
