Topic: Fireface UFX: Controlling volume on all 8 balanced outs using VOL knob

Hi there,

I just purchased a UFX and plan to use it primarily as a multi-channel DAC+preamp for an active speaker setup. My computer is doing crossover duty, and the UFX receives separate signals for sub, bass, mid and tweeter that are then fed to dedicated amps for all the drivers.

I need to keep the gain for all 8 channels in sync, and while it's doable in software I'd prefer if I could use the physical volume control as well. As far as I can tell that is not supported today, is that correct? If so, is it possible that it may be supported in a future version of the firmware?

With a fader group of your inputs and the Advanced Remote Control assigned to this fader group it should be possible.

Than you for your quick answer. Do you mean this _requires_ the ARC? Is it possible to assign the volume knob on the UFX front panel to control all 8 balanced outs?
