I recently did a move to my studio gear, which has been going rock solid since 2007. . . i have a multiface ii under nuendo, no software or system changes.  i got everything set up and it worked fine for a few days, now i am noticing horrid distortion particularly in the high range, sort of an everpresent harsh sizzle. . it sounds similar through headphones and all different outputs. . . i think it may have overheated as these things run very hot?  i have been in warmer environments than this with no problem. . we are having a heat wave down in memphis though.  how long is the warranty with these things?  im guessing it isnt under it anymore.   there are no skips or anything, and it's recognized fine, just BAD distortion. . any help is appreciated. .
