Topic: FF UFX with FF800

Hello,

I'm having a very difficult time getting my old FF800 to be an ADAT input to my UFX.  I have connected the in/out adat cables, set up the FF800 to get clock from there, and hooked it up correctly to the UFX (I believe).  No go.

If I hook up the Word clock out from the UFX to the FF800, and set the FF800 to get it's clock from there, it still doesn't work.  The sync indicators on the units go from being solid for a few seconds, to both units' lights blinking.  Then solid, then blinking, etc.  In the control panel, it goes from lock to sync and back. 

I get no input meters to light up in TotalMix from the ADAT 1 inputs ever. 

Can someone help me to figure out why I can't get these two to sync?

You need to flash the Fireface Settings and Fireface Mixer configuration to the FF800 unit before it can be used stand alone. This should help:
